Dominik Kublik officially in Red Wings record books!

What an addition he's been.

Red Wings Feed

The Detroit Red Wings are getting some incredible production out of the likes of newcomers David Perron and Dominik Kubalik, both of whom are red hot to start the 2022-23 National Hockey League season. And thanks to his clutch performance during yesterday's game at Little Caesars Arena against the Anaheim Ducks, Kubalik is now officially in the team record books.

He tallied three points yesterday in the form of a goal and two assists, giving him a total of eight points through his first five games while wearing the Winged Wheel. That happens to be the most since Hall of Fame defenseman Paul Coffey put up ten points in his first five games with Detroit during the 1992-23 season.

“Everyone has been playing pretty well right from the start,” said Kubalik following yesterday's game. “The power play is going (good), the PK, especially today, has done a great job and we’re getting energy out of it. The goaltending is unbelievable.”

The Red Wings were able to get rid of the bitter taste in their mouths stemming from Saturday night's 4-3 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks with a completely thorough effort against the Ducks.

“We kind of got a lesson last game, how to win those games,” Kubalik said of Saturday night's loss and their response. “We did a pretty good job with it today. In all, a pretty good job.”
