Ken Daniels, Mickey Redmond earn huge honor!

Well deserved!

Red Wings Feed

Fans of the Detroit Red Wings have certainly been spoiled over the years, having gotten to enjoy an incredible streak of 25 consecutive playoff berths, six Stanley Cup Finals appearances, and four championships. All this taking place while getting to watch some of the greatest players in NHL history hit the ice wearing the Winged Wheel.

And while recent seasons have certainly been of the trying variety as the team is currently undergoing a rebuild, there has been one constant as fans tune in to watch their team. The broadcast duo of Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond that have been together since the 1997-98 season have consistently been ranked among the NHL's best at their craft. In fact, a recent polling of fans found that the Daniels-Redmond duo was the best overall of the 32 NHL teams.

And the dynamic duo have since been bestowed a tremendous honor, as they were bot  officially inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame this past weekend at the Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel.

Congrats on a well deserved honor, and we're looking forward to hearing Ken and Mick in the broadcast booth once again this upcoming season!
