Red Wings fans will like Jakub Vrana's latest comments

Let's do this!

Current GM Steve Yzerman pulled off an absolutely grand slam of a trade at the 2021 NHL Trade Deadline, trading talented but underachieving and perpetually lazy forward Anthony Mantha to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Jakub Vrana, Richard Panik, and draft picks.

Needless to say, it's worked out tremendously well so far for the Red Wings. Since returning to Detroit's lineup in early March, Vrana continued the torrid goal scoring pace that he was on following his acquisition last season; he missed the first 3/4 of this year's regular season after suffering a shoulder injury on his first shift of training camp.

He would appear in 26 total games, scoring 13 goals with six assists, proving that he didn't lose his scoring touch while rehabbing his injury. And Red Wings fans will like the latest update regarding his status for next season as Training Camp draws closer.

According to NHL.com corresponding Tom Gulitti, Vrana is ready to go and is looking forward to a full, healthy season.

"Also talked with Jakub Vrana. He said he's feeling good and able to do full training this offseason after having shoulder surgery last season.

He said his shoulder had bothered him for two years before that. He's looking forward to healthy start with Red Wings."

Who else is excited to have a healthy Vrana right from the get go? Just imagine how the Red Wings could have potentially fared in the standings last season had that been the case.
