Red Wings have large number of nationally televised games

Plenty of chances to see Detroit on the national stage!

Red Wings Feed

The Detroit Red Wings are expected to take a major step forward in their rebuilding process this season thanks to multiple additions made by general manager extraordinaire Steve Yzerman. He brought to town the likes of Andrew Copp, David Perron, Dominik Kubalik, Olli Maatta, and Ben Chiarot. And that was already on top of his acquisition of goaltender Ville Husso from the St. Louis Blues the previous week.

With the emergence of rookies Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond last season, fans are also hoping that defenseman Simon Edvinsson will be making a similar leap this year.

And the Red Wings will be well represented on the national stage when it comes to broadcasts this season. In addition to their locally televised games on Bally Sports Detroit, they'll have 14 nationally televised games on both ESPN, TNT and ESPN+; they're tied for second most nationally televised games among US based teams.

Training camp begins later this month, and the regular season will get underway on October 14 against the Montreal Canadiens.
