The Detroit Red Wings released some unfortunate news this morning, revealing that gritty goal scoring forward Tyler Bertuzzi will be absent for at least the next 4-6 weeks after suffering an upper body injury Saturday night against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center.
However, the good news is that forward Filip Zadina, who was a healthy scratch for the first two games of the year, will be back in the lineup with a prime opportunity to shoulder some of the offensive load of Bertuzzi.
Detroit will be without forward Jakub Vrana tonight, though his absence is due to taking care of a personal issue. Pius Suter, who was also scratched Friday and Saturday, will be back in the lineup as well tonight.
Here are the lines they skated with this morning at Little Caesars Arena, via Max Bultman of The Athletic.
